Welcome to the website for
Eccleshall Preschool and eBASH
Our Graduation Ceremony 2013
Since we started our graduation ceremonies in 2009,
they have been the highlight of the year for the
children, parents and families.
2013 saw our largest group yet,
with 18 children leaving our nursery
room to start reception class
We pride ourselves on our excellent reputation
and our high staff to child ratios.
We already have more staff to children
than the government's current advised ratios
and we wrote to the Parliamentary
Under Secretary of State for Education and
Childcare expressing our concerns
about the new proposed guidelines. We are delighted
that the Government have now agreed to
scrap these planned changes. You cannot deliver high
standards of care at bargain basement prices.
All of our permanent staff are trained to at least
level 3 and we have one level 4 and one level 6
member of staff too.
Our staff turnover is really low and
we have a very high retention of children,
with no-one leaving for another provider unless
they leave the area or reach school age.
Parent feedback is always listened to and acted upon-
we extended our hours, offer flexible hours to suit your
needs, and now offer hot lunches too,
all at parents request
We are managed by a group of parent trustees
who bring a strong skillset to the management
of the pre-school, as well as personal interest
as their children attend.
We are a non- profit making organisation-
any profit is used directly to benefit the children,
thus providing an enabling environment for
children of all ages to play and learn.

We have places available for 2-4 year olds from September as a large number of children are leaving the pre-school to start reception class at school, although we are looking forward to still seeing lots of them in eBASH.
If you are looking for childcare, please read the comments below from our satisfied parents:
We have decided that for Jacobs nursery year he will stay at pre school for many reasons . We like the flexibility of the sessions that we can adapt these to suit our working patterns , thus enabling us to also have some days when he can be at home . We have also found pre school to be a fun, happy ,age appropriate learning environment in which all of our three children have thrived . As the girls attend E bash this also means Jacob can spend time before and after school with his sisters .
“The decision to keep my son at pre-school rather than to send him to the school nursery in September was an easy one, as I had chosen to do the same with my daughter the previous year and she had excelled in her all round development, through the continuation of care she had received at pre-school.
She started in reception as a confident and happy child, being able to both read and write, which the staff at the pre-school had encouraged so well.
The reasons I chose pre-school was that both of my children were extremely happy, settled, confident and secure in the pre-school environment and I felt it unnecessary to disrupt their routine which was suiting them both so well.
As a parent I was 100% confident in leaving my children with staff I trusted and who knew my children so well. They were aware of their development to date and were able to further their development through the continuation of care at Pre School.
My daughter had absolutely no trouble in settling into reception, as I am certain my son won’t, as he will be 12 months older and more mature and able to cope with a change in setting and teaching staff.
The staff in reception were made aware of my daughters progress at pre-school by a handover meeting from her key worker at pre-school to the reception teacher, so there was no interruption or confusion of her development to date.
Another reason which I think is important to mention in my decision making is that the pre-school provide both morning and afternoon care, with the option of a hot meal, unlike the school nursery which is only a morning session. My son has become familiar now with school hot meals, so hopefully there will be no issues when he starts school and joins the lunch queue!
My final reason in my decision making is that I felt and still continue to feel completely involved in my child’s care at pre-school and was not ready for them to move to the school setting at the age of 3, where I may not have felt as involved in their care
“We have chosen to keep our son at pre-school rather than send him to nursery. He is so happy and content at pre-school, there is no need to move him as the level of teaching, knowledge and understanding he has received at the pre-school so far has been greater than we ever could have imagined. As working parents working shifts, we find the flexibility of the pre-school far superior to any other provider. We know the pre-school visit the school for events such as the nativity etc, which will, we know, ease his transition into reception in 2013.
We're now taking bookings for
children age from 2-11all year round
During the school holidays we only charge for
sessions you actually attend. If you choose not to send
